Six years ago, we asked ourselves:
How can we effectively teach Russian to children growing up in a foreign language environment?
Observing our own kids and speaking with Russian-speaking families, we realized:
This is not a one-family problem. As children grow, they speak more of their school language and less of their home language. Russian gets pushed aside and forgotten.
Many parents want their kids to speak Russian fluently. But traditional methods often don’t work — they’re boring, formal, and not child-friendly.
We studied how children respond to language, what excites them, when they shut down and when they light up.
Our conclusion:
Bilingual kids need a unique approach and an environment where Russian feels natural and enjoyable.
That’s how RuKidsClub was born — an online space where kids don’t just learn Russian, they live in it.
We created a format that works:
Here, kids are motivated to speak Russian — because it’s fun, exciting, and other kids are doing it too.
In this atmosphere, the desire to speak becomes the ability to speak — fluently and beautifully.
Over the years, we’ve built a passionate team, developed unique courses, and helped hundreds of children around the world strengthen or reconnect with the Russian language.
Our students live across the globe — and every one of them remains part of a big club where Russian is not just a school subject but a part of everyday life.

Welcome to RuKidsClub! My name is Alla Igoshina, and I'm the founder of RuKidsClub.
The idea for RuKidsClub came from my own family's experience. After moving to the United States, I saw how quickly Russian began to fade from the everyday lives of my children and nephews growing up outside a Russian-speaking environment. It became clear to me that if families were going to make time for Russian language learning, it had to be truly convenient — without the extra time and effort of commuting and complicated schedules, and at a price families could afford.
That's how RuKidsClub was born — a club we created first and foremost as parents, for families like our own.
I have an engineering degree, as well as a degree in Quality Management, and I spent more than 15 years analyzing and improving business processes in large companies. That experience helped me build RuKidsClub as a well-designed system, taking into account the different needs of families and making every part of the learning experience as smooth and convenient as possible.
Why did we choose to call ourselves a club rather than a school? Because we wanted to create a warm, welcoming place where every child is known, every parent is heard, and help is always just a message away. That kind of atmosphere starts with the people who work with our students.
When we choose teachers, we look for much more than subject expertise. We want educators who understand bilingual children, recognize their unique learning needs, and know how to make every lesson engaging, comfortable, and effective.
Over the years, hundreds of families have become part of RuKidsClub. We continue to grow, listen carefully to our families' feedback, and improve every year. But our mission has never changed: to help children preserve their Russian language, so they can communicate with their loved ones, enjoy books, and stay connected to their cultural roots wherever life takes them.
If that goal resonates with your family, we would be delighted to welcome you to RuKidsClub.
