Narine Shushanyan

With the club since 2021

Narine holds a PhD in Philology and has 13 years of experience teaching Russian and Russian as a Foreign Language. She works with both children and adults, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Alongside her teaching practice, Narine is actively involved in university-level and academic work as an Associate Professor in the Department of Russian Language and Speech Communication at Kuban State Agrarian University. She also regularly participates in academic, practical, and methodological conferences focused on current approaches to teaching Russian as a Foreign Language.

Her teaching is based on a conscious communicative approach. Narine believes that Russian cannot truly be mastered by memorizing ready-made phrases and patterns alone. Students need to understand the internal logic of the language and learn how to apply it independently. For this reason, even complex grammar is approached as a system that students can understand and use rather than simply memorize.

Narine actively integrates modern digital tools into her lessons, including interactive activities, educational games, quizzes, gamification, and AI-based resources. She has completed additional professional training in the use of artificial intelligence in language teaching and in modern linguistic and communication technologies. At the same time, technology remains a tool rather than the goal: Narine places particular importance on creating a supportive and psychologically comfortable environment where students are not afraid to make mistakes and can gradually begin speaking Russian more freely, consciously, and confidently.
