How do you determine my child's Russian language level?

Before starting lessons, we offer a free assessment lesson. The teacher gets to know your child and evaluates their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Afterward, we'll share the results and recommend a suitable group or individual lessons.

Do you offer lessons for children who already speak Russian fluently?

Absolutely! Speaking Russian fluently is a great start, but there's always more to learn. Many children growing up outside a Russian-speaking environment speak the language well but need help with reading, writing, and grammar. Our lessons help them expand their vocabulary, improve literacy, and develop stronger language skills.

What curriculum do you use for Russian language lessons?

We use programs designed for children growing up outside a Russian-speaking environment. Lessons focus on speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Russian. The curriculum depends on your child's age and level — some students start with the alphabet, while others work on grammar, literature, and more advanced language skills.

Are Russian lessons offered in groups or individually?

Both! In small groups, children learn alongside peers of similar ages and Russian language levels. Individual lessons allow the teacher to tailor the pace and content to one student's specific needs and learning goals.

What ages do you teach? Do you offer lessons for adults?

We teach children starting at age 5, with lessons adapted to different age groups, including teenagers. Adults are welcome too! We offer individual Russian lessons for adults, whether they're complete beginners or already speak Russian and want to improve.

Can I choose between group and individual lessons?

Of course! It depends on your preferred schedule and whether there's a suitable group available. We carefully form our groups to make sure children are close in age and have similar Russian language levels. If there's no suitable group at a time that works for you, we can offer individual lessons.
